Zoe (ζωη) is the New Testament Greek word for life. At Zoe Community Church the Bible is central to all that we do. Our desire is to know God’s Word and experience true life by believing God’s Word (the Bible), living it out, and sharing it with others.
beliefs and values
Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that it alone is our foundation for faith and practice. Therefore we are committed to expository preaching and biblical counseling (2 Pet 1:20-21; 2 Tim 3:16-17)
Gospel
We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is central in the life of every believer and believing community (1 Cor 15:1-4)
Community
We believe in the priority of the church, the community of believers, and our God-given responsibility to one another (Col 3:12-14; Heb 10:24-25)
Worship
We believe that we are created to worship, and to find joy and satisfaction in Christ. As Christians, all we do should be done to the glory of God and the praise of his Name (Col 3:17; 1 Cor 10:31)
Mission
We believe that God has called us to be lights in the world pointing others to Jesus Christ (Matt 28:18-20; Rom 1:16)
Prayer
We believe that God hears and answers prayer and that apart from him we can do nothing (Psalm 27:8; 1 Thess 5:16-18)

Story
Zoe Community Church is a non-denominational church that was planted by Lighthouse Community Church in Torrance, CA. We started in May of 2016, focusing on the cities of North Dallas and Collin County such as Plano, Allen, McKinney, and Frisco.
North DFW is growing fast. Various factors have brought, and will continue to bring, newcomers to the area. And naturally there will be many who come and do not know Jesus. We saw in this area an opportunity to welcome and show the love and hospitality of the Lord and share the message of His gospel.
We hope to be a church that shares the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ with our friends and neighbors. We also want to explore how this gospel message should change how we live as we hear and submit to God’s Word. We believe that this church should be a community that is committed to following Jesus, and committed to one another.
